Tacoma Mall Guide: Shopping at the Tacoma Mall
The Tacoma Mall has been on the up and up for the past few years.
The Tacoma Mall, found in central Tacoma conveniently located right off I-5, is open 10am-9pm during the week and Saturday and 11am-7pm on Sundays. We wanted to give you a quick glimpse into what you can buy for women’s wear at different price points.
Starting at the top, you’ll find Nordstrom. This top tier shopping experience starts with a large parking lot, flanking the store on 3 sides. If you want to get in and out and enjoy customer service at the highest level, we recommend this store. Keep in mind, the price tags will reflect your level of service, but the fitting rooms are so nice, you might just want to move in!
After you grab your coffee at the E-bar, begin your meander into the mall and stop into smaller stores such as Lush for your natural care products, and Express for your workwear. Old Navy has taken a dive into more on-trend clothing, but has also raised their price points a bit.
Walking a bit further in, you’ll be able to grab any makeup products you might need at Sephora, and then get your iPhone fixed at the Apple Store next door. For your luxury workout clothing, there’s a Lululemon for you to spend all your money at! If you need outdoor gear, the Tacoma mall boasts a large Dick’s Sporting Goods, with shoes and sports equipment, although you might be hard-pressed to find a salesperson.
Macy’s has a ample options, but be prepared to dig through their racks stuffed with clothes. Further down the mall there’s a food court with smaller vendors, and if you wish you find a larger restaurant right outside the food court you can find The Cheesecake Factory, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, and MOD Pizza.
Making your way back inside you’ll find Aerie and H&M for your more price-conscious options, and further down you’ll find Forever 21, Vans, Zumiez and hat stores. There are jewelry boutiques, and at the end of the mall you’ll run into a large JCPenney.
Most recently, to my delight, they’ve added in a Nordstrom Rack in the parking lot across from JCPenney’s. Before this store opened, you had to drive 30+ minutes to Southcenter to find the Nordstrom deals, now conveniently located in the center of Tacoma. Don’t forget to refuel at Chipotle or Panera as you head back home!
