Tacoma Restaurants: The Best Healthy Restaurants
In this article we share the best healthy restaurants in Tacoma.
2612 6th Ave, Tacoma, WA 98406
Gather Juice Co is located on Tacoma’s 6th avenue strip right in the middle of some of Tacomas best food, shops and bars. It features a tastefully designed modern interior that’s a perfect mixture of concrete, natural wood, lots of plants and plenty of modern touches. Everything on the menu is incredibly healthy, and it’s all 100% plant based, vegan, and absolutely delicious! If you’re new to fresh juices we recommend starting with Gather’s “Sweet Greens” or “Roots” juices, and pair that with a smoothie bowl of your choice.
111 N Tacoma Ave, Tacoma, WA 98403
Art House opened up back in 2013 and they’ve been serving up healthy and delicious meals ever since. They are located in the Stadium neighborhood of North Tacoma, right around the corner from Tacoma’s Stadium High School. This funky restaurant has an open, colorful dining room, featuring an open kitchen and bar where you can watch the chefs craft your favorite dish. At the time of writing this piece, they only serve breakfast and lunch, although they have dabbled with dinner from time to time. We recommend starting with the Captain Travis Scramble (my favorite) for a healthy breakfast option or the Quinoa Cake Salad for healthy lunch option.
3602 6th Ave, Tacoma, WA 98406
1916 Pacific Avenue Tacoma, WA 98402
Crisp Greens started as a tiny shop on 6th Ave that served healthy soups and salads as well as amazing meals prepped and ready to take home. Due to how delicious and popular their food was they quickly upgraded to a larger space just down the street on 6th Ave and they then opened a downtown location as well. Crisp Greens focuses on providing high quality salads, grain bowls, soups, and protein packs. They also carry many dairy free and gluten free options, catering to every dietary need you might have. Whether you’re eating whole 30, paleo, vegan, gluten free, keto or no diet at all, they can dish up a wonderful meal that will have your taste buds happy and also make you feel great. We recommend starting by building a salad and trying one of their delicious homemade salad dressings.
1122 Market St, Tacoma, WA 98402
Happy Belly is a health focused restaurant and juice bar in downtown Tacoma. They have something for everyone, with quite a few vegetarian and vegan options, while still having an array of dishes for the carnivore as well. The menu consists of bowls, curries, salads, wraps, snacks, juices, smoothies and a whole lot more. We recommend starting with a Green Smoothie of your choosing (there’s 3) and the South Sea bowl.
2620 N Proctor St, Tacoma, WA 98407
Viva sits right on Proctor Street in North Tacoma’s Proctor District. It has quickly become known as one Tacoma’s most popular vegan restaurants, and for good reason. At Viva they “use only fresh, whole, organic, gluten free, non dairy products in their menu (both raw and cooked items), with no animal products or processed foods.” They also like to include many “raw or living food choices” like sprouted plants, nuts and seeds. We recommend starting with the BBQ Cauliflower wings and finishing it off with a pizza of your choice.
5115 Grand Loop, Tacoma, WA 98407
Wild Fin is one of our favorite Tacoma waterfront spots that serves up healthy fresh seafood, locally sourced produce and Northwest raised meats. The restaurant is situated at Point Ruston on the beautiful Tacoma waterfront. The dining area is spacious, including an indoor and outdoor bar seating, and views of the Puget Sound. Wildfin has an extensive menu that caters to just about everyones dietary needs, so even those with strict guidelines can enjoy something here. We recommend starting with the superfood house salad and choosing the seasonal salmon dish for your entree, you won’t be disappointed!
2701 6th Ave, Tacoma, WA 98406
Primo Grill sits right across 6th ave from another spot on this list, Gather Juice Co. Primo makes phenomenal dishes, most of which are quite healthy as the restaurant is a unique fusion of Mediterranean and Northwest flavors. This chef driven spot sources its ingredients from local farmers and offers one of kind meals that you can’t get anywhere else. They create dishes using the freshest seasonal produce and seafood, offering a constantly evolving menu that is always delicious. In addition to its excellent food, Primo boasts an extensive wine list and handcrafted cocktails. We recommend the fried brussel sprouts to start (who knew I would ever be willing to eat brussel sprouts!) and following up with smoked pork chop, it’ll change your life.
